I am going to tell you the story about my estate sale find and then you can judge if she is creepy or cool.
I was so thrilled to find this bust of a sweet girl at an estate sale, I snapped her right up! I thought she would look so lovely in my home.
Then weird things started happening! Nothing bad, but I would find her wearing my hats.
Then annoying things like taking the remote control
And hogging the bathroom, come on!
But, then it started getting creepy, like the morning I rolled over in bed and there she was!
Always with those eyes!
But, I thought calm down, she gets along with the cats and they're a good judge of character...Right?
Then she seriously upset me! I have seen enough movies about showers!
That was the last strawShe's for sale! I'm wrestling with myself, I don't know if I have to tell the buyer her history. It's not like I'm selling a house or anything where you have to disclose the history, right?
I'll put her for sale in my booth at Orange Tree and write on the tag,
"This sweet little girl bust would look so lovely in your home"
"She has the most angelic eyes" YIKKES!
Now, Lets just keep her history a little secret among my bloggy friends, OK?
I hope she finds a new home SOON!
Carol

Add to myYahoo! Our house plants were begging for a little attention. I love the look of neutral look of greenery and glass and aluminum.
(please pardon the blurriness)
Some of my plants live in water (beakers and flasks)...see the long roots?
Not a plant but it's one of a matching set of lanterns.
I love adding flea market find accessories too.
BIG lantern becomes a terrarium...

Had a revision on the porch scene. Hubby re hung the curtains in front of the shutters like I had wanted, and I swagged the curtains back. I'm thrilled with how it looks now :-)
Here's one from the outside of the porch looking in.
Hard to photograph but here's an up close view of the chandelier I'm making. I originally had traded it for something. It was cream colored so I spray painted it pink and added the crystals. Now I'm in search of some opalescence beads to hang from it and just the right lights and it will be finished. I'm loving how its looking, the curtains and the chandelier are just how I envisioned it 2 years ago so its fun to see it finally come to fruitation. The fun thing is that I didn't buy anything to do this....the curtains were from my office, the shutters from a friend who was getting rid of them and the chandelier base I traded for it, the new pillows and blanket are from my sister Kathleen who passed away. I kept them tied up in bag and couldn't bring myself to use them for the first year. They smelled just like her perfume and it was just too much of a reminder, but now when I see them its like having a part of her out there with me :-)

Add to myYahoo!I am a little obsessed with Caprisun bags. Seriously. Are they not just the cutest things ever? And lunch sacks? Dying. I’ve streamlined my initial lunch sack. It now has a handle, less velcro, a flap closure, and is less bulky at the top. They are pretty much a huge pain in the patootie to [...]

Add to myYahoo! As many as 63 percent of people claim to have sensitive skin at one stage or other.[1] Sensitive skin can react poorly to the chemicals in commercial shaving creams and lotions; they can be strong enough to dry out and irritate sensitive skin, leaving you feeling uncomfortable and even more sensitive. One solution is to turn to using olive oil; it's handy in the pantry, affordable, and it is a natural lubricant that not only makes it easier to shave your skin but it will also leave your skin smooth and soft.[2] All-natural, budget-savvy, and moisturizing all-in-one, olive oil is a shaving solution you have got to try!

Materials: 3 Lillangen bathroom cabinets, 1 Lilliangen base, mending plates
Description: The Ikea had Lilliangen on clearance, so each cabinet was $50 and the base was $25. This was the perfect size and height for many applications around my house. I used it for a tall cabinet in my office area, I thought it would be perfect for the dining room as a bar or china cabinet too.
Using 3 cabinets stacked vertically with mending plates on the inside, I was able to make a light and airy cabinet. The top is a piece of shelf from the discontinued Ikea kitchen series, these were $1 apiece.
The shelves are adjustable. I was thinking of making a pull-out drawer in the middle section because it's perfect for a desk.
There is no backside to the shelf, so light gets in from the wall reflection. I was thinking about using this as a plant cabinet so the cats wouldn't attack my plants, and they could have light.
I was also thinking of using this cabinet in my vintage Silver Streak trailer, it's aluminum and the trim matches. The cabinet is very light weight, each might be only 30lbs, so unlike all the other Ikea cabinets, I can carry this by myself. It also is a very small box and can fit into a VW Golf trunk.
Here is the cabinet in its normal bathroom application.
