Remember My Funny Custom OrderFor The Timmy Doll?I just received pictures of Timmy on the Honeymoon
This will make absolutely no sense to you unless you read this post
The Cliff notes are that the groom had a very best friend Timmy and the bride said "He is not going on the honeymoon!!"
So, I made a doll of his best friend and he did go on the honeymoon!
Here's Timmy having breakfast
Timmy all buckled in for the Honeymoon road tripSafety First!
I am guessing it was a long road trip, as you can see Timmy had to go potty!
Kids, I don't write the news, I just report it!
Have a great weekend!
Carol

Add to myYahoo!A fascinating insect, the praying mantis is widespread in the world and makes an awesome choice for a pet. Even people who don't like a lot of bugs can be persuaded to enjoy the antics of a praying mantis, as it swivels its head to look behind its shoulder at you (indeed, it's the only insect that can do this!)[1] Praying mantises (or mantids) come in many colors such as pink like a flower (the orchid praying mantis ? Hymenopus coronatus) and white, although most are brown or green. The type of praying mantis species you'll be able to keep will depend on where you live and whether you're obtaining your praying mantis from the great outdoors or your local exotic pet store. Raising a praying mantis is fairly straightforward, a lot of fun, and it's likely you'll learn a lot more about this unique and entertaining insect simply by observing its daily antics.

My nephew's birthday is coming up soon. Being a mom to two girls, I'm a little clueless when it comes to boys. However, we've had a piece of chipboard from furniture packaging just sitting around waiting for a DIY idea. I decided to make my nephew a personalized chalkboard for his birthday.
Materials:Recycled chipboard (Could also be directly applied to smooth walls with taping off a blackboard shape.)Decor Art Americana Chalkboard PaintCutting Edge Stencil foam rollerDischangers x 2Gorilla Glue tape - Handy 1" RollVinyl decalsChalk and eraser
I found that using an Xacto knife to remove intricate parts of the vinyl design is more helpful than using a fingernail.
I purchased the bike and LD Survivor font from the Silhouette online store.

Add to myYahoo! Most router tables allow you to capture dust and chips from the top of the table through a collection port on the fence, but this is only effective for some operations. Other operations require dust collection from the bottom of the table. There are a few different methods to do this with varying levels of effectiveness; usually they involve encasing the router in some sort of vacuum box.
Keen Products’ dust collection system collects dust right from the point of entry on the bottom of the table, leaving your router accessible and open so it won’t overheat. It also removes most of the dust before it has a chance to fall into the router motor, hopefully prolonging its life.
The dust collection system hooks up to a 2-1/2″ hose and splits the suction between a top-mounted port and the dust cup which surrounds the lower part of the bit and collet. I’d be careful purchasing this if you use a router lift though — one of the reviewers on Woodcraft’s site said this interfered with his router lift so he could not change bits from the top side of the router table.
The Dust Collection Kit comes with the rubber boot, hose, splitter, and several adapters to fit the dust collection port on your fence. The best price I could find for this dust collection kit was $35, plus $8 shipping from Infinity Tools.

Add to myYahoo!I went to let the chickens out this morning and Hester was dead in the nesting box. :( She was about to start laying any minute (doing the crouch thing the last few days), so I bet something was wrong with her insides. Now Sue is doing the crouch thing too, so I’ll be worried about her until she successfully produces an egg.
Here’s a night vision photo of her right before she pecked the camera.

Sorry, Hester.

My bow rack shame was lessened after I got a few pics back from my dad showing the rack mounted and in its full glory. As word from my mom has it, bows started appearing from under beds and behind doors. As if by magic they assembled to form the display you see here.

Once I saw both the caliber of the display and the quality of the gear he’s placing in the oaken stairsteps, I was glad I both overbuilt it and added calf hair atop cushioned pads for the limb rest shelves.
Still, even considering that all these “hunting” bows are only used in the backyard to target soft drink cans and milk jug caps at 25 yards, it’s a nice way to get at your gear and select the day’s weapon of mass puncture.
