Add to myYahoo!Stunning before and after transformations!
Meet: Andrea, a self proclaimed design addict. Her before and after home transformations are amazing. Here are some sneak peeks. Click the links to see the full original post with more pictures and all of the details. Kitchen and Dining Room Before
and now, after removing a wall, making one large room and changing spaces....this is where the dining room was!
I love the white cabinets with the rich wood tones of the island.
and the dining room is where the kitchen was located in the first picture...
gorgeous!
the mudroom is right off of the kitchen...
I love when everything has it's place (and it's there!).
See more of this area of her home at The Heart of the Home.
A bedroom becomes a bathroom and if I didn't see the in progress pictures, I wouldn't believe it's even the same house let alone the same room!Bedroom before...
Ready? You won't believe your eyes!
The same area is now a beautiful, spa-like retreat. Rub your eyes. Look again. It's still a beautiful dreamy bathroom!Seriously, wouldn't you love waking up and getting ready to start your day in here?
You'd find me here...getting all wrinkled...in a good way.
See the details at Bedroom to Bathroom.
The living room before actually looks pretty decent in the photo at first glance...
But, they removed the wallpaper, drop ceiling, poorly designed built-ins, old oak flooring, mantel, huge wood burning stove insert and everything else in the room. Literally. Makes the room sound terrible, doesn't it?
They started fresh. As in this fresh....
Here is the amazing result. A quiet space to read, play, chat and entertain away from the family room.
Reupholstered wingback chairs (fabric was $4 a yard!).
See more pictures and decor at Out With the Old.
Andrea, you've done a super job! The transformation is unbelieveable - it's a completely new beautiful home. I love what you've done. I love your style. Thank you so much for inspiring us and sharing a bit of a home tour!
Pop over to see more. There's 27 posts in her Before and After category...just warnin' ya! :)

Add to myYahoo! Here's an easy peasy Easter treat!I'm not sure where I first saw this ideaor if just came up with it. I made theseadorable chocolate covered peepsfor my hubby and sons for Easter.
I used lollipop sticks its not easy to get them into the peeps but if you kind of screw them in that seems to work easiest.
I used Wilton's dark melting chocolateand melted it into a coffee mug insteadof a bowl so that the chocolate washigh enough to dip the peeps into. I also spooned the chocolate over the bunnies to make sure they werereally covered.
Once they were dipped I added sprinklesand allowed them to harden on foil.
Here they are 2 to a package readyfor Easter!
P.S. I just have to tell you I'm not a peeps fan unlike the rest of my family, but I justhad to taste one and it surprised mehow good it was...course how can yougo wrong with chocolate! LOL

There are shops out there that look great and others that make us cringe when we see them. This shop picture posted by reader Phidauex makes us want to get out there and build furniture.
The concrete floor is perfectly worn and reminds me of my dad?s old shop, but the real draw is all the planes and shaves on the back wall. It looks like you could get into all manner of trouble with those bad boys and a pile of hardwood. Plus, if we’re correct, it looks like he?s got some patterns we could use quietly hanging next to the back bench.
A great shot of a great shop. We are envious of the person who gets to fiddle about in here on the weekends.

Add to myYahoo!ERA, WHIP, DICE are all acronyms that make some people nervous, but true baseball fans should know them. They often seem difficult to calculate as well, but this article will prove that it's not necessarily difficult, provided you've got the background understanding.

Materials: Billy bookshelf, board (76x75cm), 2 table-legs (Vika Kaj), screws, 4 screwing angles, edge tape

Description:
1. Fix up Billy without the back board and without the middle shelf
2. Install "middle shelf" not in the middle but at an appropriate height for your desktop (I chose 75cm). Use screws and 4 L brackets to fix the self.
3. Align the edge flush to the edge of the board
4. Fix the table-legs under the board
5. Lay the board on the "middle shelf" and fix it there with screws from below

I eliminated the backboard because I otherwise had problems guiding my cables from the desktop down to the electrical socket.
