Project Satria: Proton Satria 4G93T Oil Catch
Tank Installation

As I promised from previous post here, I would like to share the steps on how to install an oil catch tank for my satria which equipped with a Mitsubishi Lancer GSR 4G93T engine.
It took me about 15 minutes to install the oil catch tank. It is easy to install but it is harder to find a suitable place to place the tank. For my case, I placed it just behind the headlamp where the radiator installed. So for the first step, try to figure out where you plan to place your oil catch tank.
For Mitsubishi 4G9x engines, there are 2 places from the engine cover to route the oil back to the intake. Try to refer to the picture below as I already drew RED circles to indicate the place. I chosen the second one where I found out that it takes shorter route to my oil catch tank.
I tried to zoom in both the places and below are the pictures of them. Second step, try to figure out which PCV you wish to route to your oil catch tank.
The third step, connect the pipe from the PCV to the oil catch tank and then another pipe from the oil catch tank back to the filter/intake.

If you plan to get one oil catch tank for your lovely car, do contact me for the price as I am selling them with installation provided.
PS: When I installed the oil catch tank, found out that my cold air intake is in bad condition (broken) :( . So it is time for me to change to a new one as soon as possible and I will post out the installation pictures and steps as well. By the way, still pending the installation for my Celica. Do stay with me...

Project Satria: Car Detailing 2002 Proton Satria
GSR Turbo

Another car detailing post and finally this time is for my lovely Proton Satria. I seldom drive my Satria and I parked it at my home town car porch for almost half a year. So the car is not really dirty  as compare to my  Celica but there was rust all over the sport rims and the disc rotors. Besides that, I am not sure why the car's roof is full of swirl compare to the other areas like the bonnet and the doors. The reason that I am able to think off is the color different but is it true that black color easily get swirl on the paint surface? Let me know if you know the answer...
Since the car was not very dirty, so I just ran through a simple wash only.. The parts that I were concentrated on during that were the wheels and to remove the swirl of the entire car. Anyway, the car wasn't too bad to start with as the paint of the car is still in good condition. Thus by waxing the car will bring the paint back to it's glory.
I took some pictures of the car where you can easily spot some dirt on it as well as the rusty rim sand disc rotors. Not very dirty as this can be easily clean off by a wet cloth. However for the rims and disc rotors, it took me some time to clean them up as some areas were not easily accessed by hand.
Rims and the disc rotors done. I believe I do not need to state out which picture is before and which picture is after as the different is quite obvious right?
Done with the rims and disc rotors and move to the car body. Not much swirl for the rest of the body so I did not took any picture except the roof picture only.

Here is the result after wax. No more swirl and the paint condition look superb again.

Enjoy the pictures of my detailing hard work. Feel satisfy with the result and love the pearl white reflection...

Project Celica: Car Detailing 2002 Toyota Celica
6 speeds Super Strut Edition

What normally a guy will do during Chinese New Year? Sleep? Eat? Firstly, I will clean up my room although I just staying in the room like about 5% of the entire year. Secondly, is to detail my cars. So for year 2011, I took 2 days off before Chinese New Year and I finally got some time to detail both my Satria and Celica. Anyway, previously I had posted a post about detailing my mother's kancil here.
Let's start with the Celica, it took me about a day to detail the exterior and the engine. By the way, this isn't a full paintwork correction detail, but more to improving the overall condition of the car in a limited time. ( I still got my Satria and a 19 years old saga parking outside the car porch waiting for me to detail them). The car wasn't too bad to start with as the paint of the car is still in good condition. However due to my busy workload, I have no time to wash it for about 3 months. Dust and mud are all over the car.
Let's have a look at the condition of the car, as I said earlier, the car is covered by dust and mud.
After washing the car with Magic101 wash and wax shampoo, whole car is clayed with Detailogy clay. I forgot to capture picture as I were too busy washing the car at that time. Thus, enjoy the the results after the car being wash.

And now the dirty engine bay. Waxco engine degreaser was sprayed all around the engine bay to remove oily dirt and brushed the dirty area that can't easily removed by the degreaser.

Engine bay after detailed.

Finally was the time to wax the car. I used Soft99 wax as I used before for my mother's kancil. The wax is pretty good and the most important is the price is cheap. Compare the left and the right, the right side was after wax and the left was not. Not much dirt was pulled out of the paint as the pad was pretty much clean after the whole car. This proved that my Celica paint is still in good condition.
And here is the final result after a whole day of hard work.
