New Charcoal Gray Doors!

You may recall that I have recently given my master bath a face lift, including painting the vanity, framing the mirror and adding new lighting. Even after all that, I felt like it was still missing some spunk and since my blog is entitled Suburban Spunk after all, I felt compelled to do something bold.

So with leftover paint from the vanity (Better Homes & Gardens Charcoal Sketch in semi-gloss), I turned this-

into this-

After I sanded the doors down with medium-grit sandpaper, I painted three coats of the Charcoal Sketch paint color. It looks black in pictures but is actually a dark gray. Once dry, I did a coat of clear lacquer for extra protection and for high sheen.

Here's a close-up (the high-sheen makes it a bit hard to photograph)-

I love how luxe they look. It definitely helps bring a bit more spunk to the space!
I got LOTS of fun projects done over the long weekend:) Why can't every weekend by 3 days!?!? :) Oh well, at least it's a short week! best, S

How to Force Install Incompatible Addons in
Firefox

Oftentimes you may update Firefox only to find that your favorite addon is incompatible. Since downgrading isn't a viable option, you may be at a loss for options. However, often the addon itself is actually compatible, but the version in the addon needs updating. This article will demonstrate how to override this in Firefox.

Finally finishing off the Landing Ceiling

It has been a few years now and it's about time I finally finished the last few bits. The last major job was to take down the old, damages lathe and plaster ceiling on the landing. So I can fit the sun tunnel and fire alarm on to new plasterboard.

It's quite a quick job to rip down but the clearing up and cleaning up after wards is a huge task.

The rest of it should be a bit cleaner.
