As the years have gone by, Twilight has moved beyond the realm of the books and movies. The teenage saga has re-formed into cosplaying and men and women of various ages, from tweens to mothers, have an attachment to it. Instead of treating your loved one with the usual commercial chocolate or card, why not surprise them with a Twilight themed Valentine's Day? It'll send chills of delight up your loved one's spine.

Materials: Cylinder and Solviden
Description: I took a set of three blue glass cylinders, called amazingly Cylinder, and stacked them to make a stepped pyramid. Then I took a set of solar powered LED string light for outdoors and placed them inside the middle cylinder. I plan to glue these together and set whole thing in my garden this summer for a cool outdoor light.
See more of the Cylinder solar light.

Materials: benjamin stool motorcycle stand
Description: So I had my old Honda XR250 street legal dirt bike in Brooklyn last summer for tooling around, but the summer was over and fall was coming and I didn't want to garage the bike all winter ($). I needed to get the bike up to my cabin in the Catskills, but really didn't want to rent a van for a long weekend. I figured I could dismantle the bike and get most of it into my Toyota Camry. All I needed was a motorcycle stand to get the wheels off the ground so I could take it all apart. At first I thought I'd use a milk crate, but the crate just got mushed under the weight of the bike. So I started eyeballing a ben jamin stool that holds up my TV connected laptop, and that did the trick! It was plenty strong and stable enough to hold the bike steady as I stripped it down. I wasn't really sure I could get the bike in the car, but several hours later I got'r done! I drove the sagging Camry up to the Cabin and used the Benjamin stool for the reassemble. Now I have two Benjamin stools, one for the laptop and one for the working on the bike.

I know there's nothing hacked here, but it's an interesting use of the Benjamin. Made me chuckle. ~ Jules

Materials: Effectiv, Abstrakt, Capita
Description: In this hack, I take an EFFECTIV Add-on (high), original price $80, purchased in the As-Is department for $45, a set of CAPITA angled brackets ($14.99), ABSTRAKT kitchen door piece, regular $74, also purchased in the As-Is department for $1.99. The first thing I had to do was take some isopropyl alcohol and remove the "As-Is" and item number written on the back side of the cabinet (which will be the front part of the bar). The As-Is department apparently now requires that the words AS-IS and the item # be marked in a prominent place on the furniture, which I find ridiculous, because it potentially ruins the piece. I lucked out and alcohol did the trick, but it still smudged a bit. It's not that noticeable. But I have a plan for that spot if it is too noticeable.
